CANVAS / CHEVRON SEALS
Canvas and Chevron seals are used in heavy-duty hydraulic applications. Chevron seals consist of a stack of multiple sealing elements that adjust to pressure variations. Canvas seals, made from rubber-coated fabric, offer enhanced pressure resistance. These seals are widely used in press machines, earth-moving equipment, and mining systems. Bright Star offers customized V-packings and fabric-reinforced seals for high-pressure systems needing excellent flexibility and sealing capability

- E = Excellent – Suitable for prolonged exposure to saturated steam at high temperatures
- G = Good – Suitable for moderate steam exposure with some limitations
- F = Fair – Can handle light or intermittent steam but not continuous service
- P = Poor – Degrades quickly in steam; not recommended

These are elastomeric pads placed between bridge girders and piers to accommodate thermal movement, load transfer, and vibration. Made from neoprene or natural rubber, they enhance bridge durability and structural integrity. Bright Star pads are manufactured to meet IRC and BIS specifications and can be customized with PTFE sliding layers or laminated steel inserts.
